Our Services
Appalachian Eye Care provides comprehensive eye care to monitor and treat medical eye conditions such as glaucoma, diabetes, and cataracts. We co-manage with various doctors in the area for the treatment of cataracts, retinal disease and LASIK. We are also happy to provide exams for spectacles and contact lenses.
Our optical suite has a variety of frames to choose from including Oakley, Tommy Hilfiger, Harley Davidson, Silhouette, Vogue, Versace and Dolce and Gabbana among many more.
Modern Equipment
To help us provide premium care, we have invested heavily in technology. For example, our digital retinal camera gives instant photographic images of the inside of the eye. Our optical coherence tomographer allows remarkable noninvasive images to be obtained from within the retina, while our corneal topographer can detect corneal irregularities invisible to most conventional testing. These are excellent tools for detecting and monitoring eye disease, and for providing a baseline for future comparison.

Likewise, we use the newest, most advanced contact lenses to enhance your vision while keeping your eyes healthy and comfortable. Eye wear selection includes designer frames from Tommy Hilfiger, Fossil, Guess, Harley Davidson, Nike, Calvin Klein, Flexon, Kate Spade and Silhouette, to name a few.
Specialty Contact lenses
Dr. Hansen provides contact lens fitting
for patients with corneal diseases such as
keratoconus or those with corneal
distortion following trauma or surgery.
Even if you thought you could never wear
contact lenses you may be a candidate.

Low Vision Evaluation and Treatment
Dr. Lane provides low vision evaluations for patients with poor vision due to eye diseases or trauma. Vision can often be improved with special prescribed devices following this thorough evaluation.
